Her Travel Memories

Somewhere between burnout and healing,
I started collecting moments that felt like life again.
A personal diary of burnout, healing, rebuilding, photography, solo travel, and learning how to create a softer life.

Hi, I’m Liz.

This blog has a travel name and a burnout story. But that’s not a contradiction — it’s the whole point.

Here, you’ll find two rooms.
One holds the breakdown — burnout, healing, and rebuilding softly — welcome to Her Soft Moments.
The other holds the memories — travel, photography, quiet places, and the gentle return to life — welcome to Her Travel Memories.
You can start in either room.

I created Her Travel Memories during one of the hardest years of my life, after corporate burnout left me completely disconnected from myself.
At the time, the name came from a photography account I made when my only plan was to pack everything up and disappear for a while. I wasn’t ready to do that yet. But I needed the dream of it.

More than anything, I needed a place to put everything I was carrying. So I started writing.
And what came out wasn’t really travel at first. It was the breakdown, the slow recovery, the grief of losing myself, and eventually, the quiet process of rebuilding a life that actually feels like mine.

Along the way, there were also places. Trains. Coffee shops. Cities. Small moments that made me feel alive again, even briefly.
That’s how the two worlds slowly came together.

This isn’t a polished healing journey.
It’s a real one.

The day it all collapsed — and what came next 👇
